Wade Ellison Design is a small design firm whose primary focus is in the residential field; working closely with homeowners, contractors, consultants and engineers as well as with City and County agency officials to ensure a completed, successful project. Pre-Planning/Schematic Design/
Design Development
This is generally the start of any project, which includes Agency Due-Diligence (to determine project guidelines/zoning ordinances, etc. through the required agencies and jurisdictions). On projects with existing structures, we begin with documenting existing conditions to create "as built" drawings. These are essential for the Schematic Design/Design Development phase which is a critical part of the project as we work closely with our clients, on a personal level; building a relationship and an understanding of their needs, their expectations and their dreams. Together, we establish a specific program which ultimately addresses their needs and their desires. Prioritizing these needs and desires helps in coming up with a feasible program that not only meets agency guidelines, but fits within project budget.
Drafting/Planning
& Consulting
We offer CAD drafting services to homeowners, contractors and engineers who often know what they want, but need it coordinated and translated onto paper. Design & Planning Consultation is another effective way for homeowners to get initial ideas for their upcoming projects. We offer continual consulting services to our clients from pre-planning through construction.
Working Drawings/
Construction Documents
The more technical, but very detailed oriented phase takes the completed design to the next level. Bringing in the necessary consultants and engineers usually occurs during this phase. Coordinating with these consultants while producing accurate drawings which can be submitted to City and/or County agencies, as well as sent out for contractor’s bids is very critical in delivering a successful project.
PERMIT
PROCESSING
This is a service we offer on our projects which is beneficial to our clients as we’ve established a strong working relationship throughout the County of Ventura over the last decade working directly with Plan Check Engineers, Planning and Building Department Officials.
